Catalogue Launch Goodies

I thought you would like to see the goodies

that those who attended my Catalogue Launch night

received.

First up was a sachet of fancy coffee or hot chocolate,

with a cute holder.

I love the mug design from the Scentsational Season set,

with the steam rising from it.

I popped a brad in the top of the pack

(where it doesn't affect the freshness of the contents)

so it can swivel open to show the sachet:

They also received a post it note pack

Using the Happy You pinwheel stamp

which says "hip hip hooray"

which seemed appropriate, as we were all

excited to see the new catalogue!

Inside were arrow-shaped post-it notes,

perfect for highlighting wish list items.

And finally, what's a goodie bag without chocolate?

Decorated with some scraps of

Twitterpated DSP and a Tiny Tag "4You"

stamped tag.

As well as individual bags there were

Lucky Door Prizes and giveaways.

We had a great night and everyone

LOVES the new catalogue!

Happy You Friend Card

The Happy You hostess stamp set is so quick and fun to work with.

Cute images are paired with one-word greetings

so all you need is to add some colour!

I painted the image this time using ink, markers and the Aqua Painter.

Then I used the Blossom Punch to make a quick mat for the image.

Loving the Gumball Green with the gumboots!

Betsy's Blossoms

This is one of the cards we made at my

Catalogue Launch Party,

back on the 7th September.

It features the new Betsy's Blossoms stamp set,

the five new In Colors for 2012-2013,

and the sweet small scallop punch from the Holiday mini.

Quick and effective.

Snowflake Card

Even though we have Christmas

in the middle of summer,

and we're nowhere near snow in winter,

I just couldn't resist the Snow Flurry die

from the Holiday Mini.

I've always loved snowflake designs.

This die is amazing,

it cuts the most spectacular snowflakes

that can be layered to create a 3D effect.

I also used the Adorning Accents Edgelits die

to create a sweet scalloped edge.

In the background I sprinkled more snowflakes,

from the Snow Swirled stamp set,

and stamped in Whisper White

with a touch of silver Dazzling Details

at the centre of each.

Greeting from Tiny Tags.

Storybook Friends Hello

Hello!

I've been so busy running Stampin' Up! events
(amongst other things)

that I've not had time to blog.

But now it's school holidays

I've got some time to catch you up

with all my stamping projects.

Including this cute card I made just this afternoon.

I've loved the Storybook Friends stamp set from the moment

I saw them, so when Stampin' Up! gave me an extra

birthday discount

I decided to buy this sweet set.

I love the old-fashioned images,

and I love watercolouring them.

The set arrived this morning

and I'm already putting it to use!

After I stamped and coloured the duckling

I used a scrap of happy stripes

from the Storytime DSP

and a flower-shaped button sewn on with twine\

to up the cute factor.

Materials:

Storytime Designer Series Paper
Stayzon black ink
Watercolor Wonder Crayons
Aqua Painter
2 1/2" circle punch
Wild Wasabi card and 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon
So Saffron card
Watercolour paper (not SU!, I can't find mine anywhere!)
Storybook Friends DSP
Scallop Edge punch
Brights Designer Buttons
Cherry Cobbler twine

Edited to add:  After I posted this card I checked
this week's CASE Study Challenge
and lo and behold I had coincidentally used
some of the same elements as the inspiration card!
The stripes, a cute image, a stitched button ...
So in I jumped!
Thanks for visiting!

A Little Bit British

Inspired by London 2012

and the Queen's Jubilee,

here are some more cards from my

A Little Bit Vintage class last week.

Loving the Finial Press folder
with crumb cake ink.

Loving the crowns

... lots of distressing and a little bling.

Rosy

One of the cards from last week's

A Little Bit Vintage class.

Featuring the rose stamp from

Elements of Style

with a greeting from Ovals All.

The background is Beau Chateau DSP,

and that set the colour scheme of

Pink Pirouette, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla.

I think Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery are colours

that can be used directly on this type of image,

over the shading, as I've done here,

to add some subtle colour.

I'll be running classes again in September, stay tuned.

Nature Walk - JAI 131 Challenge

Today I joined the Just Add Ink Colour Challenge.

These were the colours I could use:

I've always liked Garden Green,
usually on Christmas cards.

Using it as a feature colour with neutrals
was a little more tricky!

It's windy here today,
and a bird's nest fell in our garden,
inspiring me to use one of my
favourite sets, Nature Walk,
and feature the bird.

I embossed the background using Finial Press,
first rubbing Crumb Cake ink on the folder.
(I will miss this folder so much when it retires in two weeks!)

Actually this is a soft little nest that fell another day, that I kept.
Today's one is quite large and has some orange rope woven in!

I also used stamps from Elements of Style and Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

Inside is a greeting, this card will be for Dad.

Thanks for visiting!

Apothecary Art 60th Birthday Card

Apothecary Art Birthday Card
This is the card I made

for my sister-in-law's 60th birthday.

I couldn't show you last week,

because I hadn't given it to her yet!

(not that she probably reads this blog, but you never know ....)

Sue loves anything blue and traditional,

so I thought she would like this combination.

I have to say I was heavily influenced by this video

and learnt to colour with

watercolour crayons and a blender pen

for the first time.

I've always used water with the crayons before,

which works best on watercolour paper.

But this technique works well on the normal

Whisper White card.

I had a lovely relaxing time colouring the roses and background,

then added background stamps,

embossing, die cut numbers, lace, button and pearls

This stamp set (with matching dies) has disappeared now

with the end of the Autumn-Winter mini,

but I have a feeling we'll be seeing it again very soon!

Supplies:
Stamps: Apothacery Art
Established Elegance
Big Shot: Framelits dies, Finial Press embossing folder
Not Quite Navy, Crumb Cake,Old Olive & Whisper White cardstock
Stayzon Ink, Not Quite Navy and Crumb Cake stampin' pads
Watercolour crayons
Sahara Sand marker
lace (from my stash)
Designer Buttons: brights
Pearls

Baby Card

A quick baby card for a sweet baby

using the versatile Baby Bundle stamp set.

Colours: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink,
Certainly Celery and Pink Pirouette.

For the ribbon I ran a Regal Rose then a

Certainly Celery marker along a white grosgrain ribbon

and voila - a perfectly coordinating striped ribbon!
